He focuses on analyzing competition issues in India and cross-border M&A, and has worked closely with various start-ups, large conglomerates, private equity firms and sovereign wealth funds. He has managed substantive merger reviews approved by the Competition Commission of India, U.S. Federal Trade Commission, European Commission, and the competition regulators in UK, Germany, Singapore, China and Austria.
He has also contributed to competition policy developments by working on representations made to the Competition Law Review Committee and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on behalf of various stakeholders. Prior to his current role as Of Counsel, Shivam served as Counsel at the firm for two years and prior to that, as a Senior Associate in the competition team at AZB & Partners.
Splitting his time between London and India, Shivam offers a unique perspective to clients navigating the increasingly aligned global regulatory landscapes. Outside of his legal practice, Shivam is a keen traveller, an accomplished synthesizer player and an avid swimmer.
